You have a party of 4, so if you explore a dungeon, you have to travel between dungeon and spire several times although you would be able to finish the dungeon in one visit, but then you would get several levels in this dungeon without training.

After act1, trainers are only in your spires.

This system encourages you to visit a trainer every level. If you do not train during a level, your chance to train 5 skills is lost. At the moment you can level up 5 skills per level with a trainer, if you got a trainer for the skill you want and if your skill is not too high to be improved by this trainer.
